The University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology is recruiting two full-time Physiatrists to join our expanding Rehabilitation Division.  We seek candidates who are interested in starting/continuing a PM&R career in a large academic medical center setting.  The appointed physicians will primarily provide PM&R consultations and some inpatient coverage for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multi-trauma and other rehab-related diagnoses.  They will join a collaborative team of dedicated rehabilitation professionals that includes physical, occupational and speech therapists, rehabilitation physicians, and rehabilitation scientists within the University of Maryland hospital system.  Clinical sites include the University of Maryland Medical Center and the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute, Maryland’s largest acute rehabilitation hospital.  There is also potential to be involved in clinical research and teaching of residents and medical students.

ChoiceOne Urgent Care is looking for Board Certified Physicians to support our Eastern Shore Denton/Easton centers in partnership with University of Maryland Shore Health.

Here are the details:

  • 8am – 8pm / No Nights
  • Competitive Rates
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage provided
  • Approximately 3-4 Patients Per Hour on Average
  • Radiology Department / Laboratory / Occupational Health
  • 8-10 Patient Rooms / Procedure Room / Drug Testing Room
  • EMR – Practice Velocity – Ambulatory Software – User Friendly

Requirements

  • State medical license • DEA license • State controlled substances license (if applicable) • Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience • Board certification • Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting, reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs • BLS Certification • Experience treating worker's compensation cases and providing DOT physicals helpful • Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
  • Energetic attitude which inspires other team members
  • Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization

Job Specifics:

  • New start-up practice 19,000 square ft., multi-specialty clinic at The Washington National Harbor
  • 100% clinical, inpatient & outpatient setting
  • Provide Urogynecology services at National Harbor and/or other sites within the UM Capital Region Health Medical group
  • BC/BE OBGYN MD w/Pelvic Reconstruction Surgery/Fellowship
  • Desirable (CAQ, special procedures, technology, training etc)
  • Experienced Urogynecologist 2-3 years
  • L&D coverage once a month if needed
  • Opportunity to grow and build the practice, no call in the first year
  • Presence at the Regional Medical Center opening in 2021 at Largo, MD.
